Welcome to Hole in the Rock Ministries, Christian Formation and Direction Ministries' Central California Regional Affiliate
.While our name is Hole in the Rock Ministries, we are also the Central California Regional Affiliate of CFDM. To learn about the other CFDM affiliates, CLICK HERE.
Our mission is to cultivate spiritual formation, fostering our response to the invitation for a deepening relationship with God. This involves focusing on practices, disciplines, and ways of being that enable us to hear, see, and experience God more fully. To that end we provide contemplative spiritual direction and supervision training programs, resources and support for those called to the ministry of spiritual direction.
DANCE YOUR PRAYERS: We are now offering quarterly Dance Your Prayers evenings at a church in Fresno. Our next offering is November 28, 2023, from 6:30-8:00pm. In these gatherings we explore dance and movement that embodies our prayerful expressions to God in a safe, reflective space. Dance is as broadly or narrowly defined as anyone needs it to be. The atmosphere is reverent and each person's space is respected.
OUR LATEST TRAINING OFFERING!! Check out our newly formed 1 year spiritual formation program, The School for Incarnational Transformation, beginning in JANUARY 2024. Information and application will be posted on our TRAINING IN SPIRITUAL FORMATION tab. Early-bird applications will be due December 1st, 2023 .... all applications due by December 29th, 2023.

Our quarterly retreats have returned! The next one of these retreats will be scheduled soon at a church in Fresno. The topic for the most retreat was Transfiguring Patriarchy by Attuning to the Deep Feminine. Future retreat topics may include Where is God in the Great Uncertainty, Experiencing God Through Nature, and Deconstruction and Reconstruction: A Road Map.
